Tuesday April 28th 2009 AT Saint Monica’s Church in Santa Monica. Mike Mottola, who works for St. Monica’s( a church in the richest part in LA) approaches John (an advocate for the homeless) and threatens John and says that if John ever comes to church Mike will call the Police.Please notice, that Mike asks John to turn off the video tape. We wonder why.

I am contacting you regarding abuse and violation of my civil rights. I protested the way Saint Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica (church of the Super Rich) was treating homeless. The staff which were supported by Monsignor Torgoson are threatening homeless people and kicking them out. I think it is connected to the Santa Monica Police lawsuit because the Santa Monica Police sees if Saint Monica’s Church is doing it then it is a good thing.

They threatened me. I was told if I attend even a church service to receive the body and blood of Christ that they would call the police.

I video taped one staff member approaching me after mass and threatening me with the police. Here is the video

I definitely need your help. I used to be homeless for 7 years. Right now I have a small studio, but unemployed.

I did file a lawsuit but the cowards: Monsignor Torgeson and his assistant Mark Mottolla asked the secretary to tell the sheriffs that they are not in. The sheriffs tried to serve them with a lawsuit 3 times and all three times the secretary told the sheriff that they are not in and she cannot accept a letter on their behalf. True cowards and liars. I wonder what the sheriff who tried to serve them with a lawsuit was thinking when he heard that story?

We need to stand up to these hypocrites who act like cowards and threaten the poor and homeless with police.
