Beware!! East Valley Financial is a fraud

Oct 20th, 2009 by judylynn in Service Ripoffs

Beware!! East Valley Financial is a fraud!   They said they would help us to get lower interest rates, and get us out of debt.  After you sign up and pay their fee, you get no service at all.  Your advisor is never available.  East Valley Financial refused to talk with me, the primary cardholder, and would only speak with my husband who has the onset of alzheimer’s.

The mandate for East Valley Financial saving us money was to pay off the low interest loans @ 8%  first and leave the high interest loan @ 24% till last.  They were supposed to talk with us and explain the system, but  were never available to us.    Don’t get scamed out of $799.00, check these guys out before you are succered in like us.

    • East Valley Financial has been working with my clients for 7 years now and I know for a fact that there are over 13,000 people who have had positive experiences with this company. It is a shame there isn’t a website called thankyouforyourhelp.com so people can take the time to list the hard work that goes into keeping so many people happy compared to so few complaints. We all should take the time and do the appropriate research and you will see that this company has never left a complaint unresolved. It is unfortunate that people don’t follow up and let everyone know when their issues have been taken care of.

      • Rick Ahlgren

        Joseph,
Nice to hear you had a good experience with East Valley Financial, but you are the minority here. They got me for $2005.76, then had the nerve to try to settle with me for $8.00 This company is like a big Rabbit hole, first you get a call from East Valley Financial, that becomes AAA Debt solutions, that miracleously turns into Secure Account Services, represented by O’Connor Law,who’s official address is a P.O. Box.

Scam, yes, I too talked with Kyle Davis 2/10/11 who promised all kinds of great things…PAY OF DEBT 2 TIMES FASTER, SAVE $1,500 A YEAR UP TO $4,500 BY THE TIME PAID OFF IN THREE YEARS, LOWER RATE FOR ACCOUNTS, NO NEGATIVE REFLECTIONS ON CREDIT, AND NO, I SAY ‘NO’ OUT OF POCKET COSTS….$395.00 maintenance fee (they started with $999, then $595,)of the $4,500 savings. I anthorized this payment with a Christopher Fain…authorization code # 14529A. Somewhere there was a Darla in the converstion. We never heard from them again until I was able to prod them in May to send me some Paperwork to file the account #s for reduction of card %. After I filed the paperwork in June I still have to see any changes and am not able to contact them by phone at 866-208-9351. That # did operate until the end of September and I kept on getting the runaround about refiling…recently…not able to contact anyone since then.

      • That is great if they in fact even call you back? I have been trying to get my money back from East Valley Financial since the beginning of March, and I still have not seen my money? After they said that they would be cutting me a check month after month after month still nothing! Now I hae been calling and them, faxing them and emailing them for the past 3 weeks and still have heard nothing. kind of strange dont you think?

      • The statement that they have never left a complaint unresolved is a true lie. I worked with the Better Business Bureau for 6 months while they lied to the BBB and said that they would send me a refund. It has now been 9 months and the BBB closed the case as unresolved. They repeatedly said that I would have my refund in 10 days. Look at the BBB statement now. I am posted as unresolved and I feel the same as the others who complained. Maybe your clients have big bucks and that is why they keep them happy with they swindle the little people who are down on their luck.

  • First of all this company is based is Arizona if you check out their website. Second of all, they have zero unresolved complaints with the Better Business Bureau. My Wife and I find it hard to believe that you followed East Valley financials Instructions and received no benefit as they were successful in cutting down our payoff time and organizing our finances. Makes me wonder if this is a disgruntled employee. As a small business owner, its a shame that websites like this can openly smear a company with no proof or grounds to do so.

    • Sorry Matt but they are scammers – they took my money and I
      have nothing except a bill.
I live in NY not Az (and never have) their main point I feel
is getting senior citizens taken for a ride but they will get it some day. Ever hear the saying “what goes around comes around” that will be them.
I’m glad you got help but most of us haven’t

I should have known better, but they promised me!!! I got a call on 1/17/2011 spoke with a Mr. Mullen he gave me the old spiel how he promised he would have me debt free in 30 months.Having just read the new Law SB94, that states that no company in the debt settlement business can charge an up front fee. I bought into the program. Their promise that they would pay off the lowest balance first, and take them one at a time, until all creditors were paid.
It is now 5/04/2011, they charged the original $995.00 on a credit card that I gave them. This in itself was enough to pay off the first creditor. They then withdrew $505.38 each month for the next 2 months. They now have $2005.76, still no contact with any creditors. In late April I sent them the cancellation papers that the Notary Public left at my house. They sent me a Credit of $8.00 and kept $1997.76 as fees. So if anyone states that this is a legitimate business, i will be glqad to discuss this either by e-mail or in person!

          • Mr. Matthew Mullen

            Hi
My name is Matthew and ive received some harassing and threatening messages on my facebook page which apparently stemmed from this site. Im not familiar with this website or company but after searching i found that someone had posted a link to my facebook page under some East Valley Financial scam or something like that. I have no idea who East Valley Financial is or why i am on your page but i would like to have the harassing messages stopped or i will have to try an attorney general i guess(per your forum), im not sure what to do and wanted to give your business an opportunity to resolve the issue before i take action for the threats and defamation of my name and Facebook page. If there is anything i can do to verify something please let me know. I provided a link from your site that has my face book page listed. In the posts they talk about a “Mr. Mullen” and i think his first name is Matt too but i am in no relation to this person whatsoever. please advise on how i should handle this.
            Thank you.

            Hi Matt,
This post should suffice your cause..

They would not even send out a package for me to read a contract without me giving them credit card information and, a fee of $700. He tried every which way in the book to get us to give the credit card number over the phone. He told me it would be a “waste of their money” to send out forms to me without knowing if I could afford their fee. Any company that feels that way in this day and age is NOT a reputable company. And, No, I am not a “disgruntled” employee. when I told him I wnted to read the contracts of what they were stating would be done, he said, well they arent real contracts they are bank papers or some such BS…Do not ever give anyone your credit card number over the phone without a contract, a legitimate name and a google search before you do so….

  • We just got a cold call from these guys and they refused to talk to me and called later to speak with my husband. when i came into the room and asked who was on the phone he put them on hold to tell me about it I told him no way we were not interested ( I am learly of cold calls that involve my credit)When my husband told him that we were not interested that i pulled the plug the guy had the nerve to ask if he always did what his wife wanted. when my husband jokingly said “of course that how he is still married” the guy told him “then I feel sorry for you sir” Any company that would try to pull a stunt like this is a scam. trying to get husbands to make decisions with out their spouses who are likely on the same credit cards is rediculous!! And then to try and emasculate the potential customer into submission? very fired up and am calling the company.

  • RiP off, they took my money $796.00 had someone contact me who went over my budget, states he did not work for them, East financial referred him to me, long story short, this man could not help me. I tried calling Brian @ East Financial & the phone number he gave me does not exist, comes up like a fax#
I am on SS Disability, they truly took advantage of me.

  • I was contacted by them offering to lower my debt. We sold our house before their paperwork even showed up. I called and canceled within 3 days and was told that my advisor would take care of it. Nothing happened so I called again. This time I got some guy named Oliver whom assured me all would be taken care of. Again no response. Now the email and phone is out of order. Advice, never give a credit card or pay up front for any service unless you know they are reputable and especially now that the word is out on sites like Ripoff we can keep others from falling into the same trap.

  • I have received 3 phone calls from East Valley Financial this week and 2 about a month ago. Of these 5 calls, the person calling hung up when I asked how I could know they were a legitimate company 4 of the 5 times. Today I got Gregory and he stayed on the phone while my very slow computer looked the company up on bbb.online.com. There of something like 96 complaints all but the most recent one were resolved, apparently satisfactorily. So, if you still have complaints, please go to the bbb site and file them there so we can see them there, too. I just found this site by luck in my search.

I agree with you not to give the credit card numbers over the phone to telemarketers.

I got in touch with the BBB in Phoenix,Az. and they said they would investigate. East Valley Financial told them that I disputed the charge for $995.00 therefore there was no contract. The BBB took their word, and informed me that the investigation was closed. So just contacting the BBB is not always the solution. I have since turned all of the Charges, and withdraws over to the Attorney General’s Office of Arizona, and am waiting to see what they can do.It’s a shame that they go after the people that can least afford to lose this kind of money!

  • I have been getting calls from California, Oregon, Arizona, New Jersey and area code 460 asking to refinance my credit card debt. These people use a dual call approach, first getting my permission to talk about my debt and then to have a second person call and get my credit card numbers, collect a fee. I have not given the second call a chance. I have not given out any personal information.
I discovered a call blocker app for my phone and have an ever growing list of phone numbers for these folks. The latest is from the 460 area code, which is not a legitimate area code for the USA (India or Nigeria).

    • Today’s calls are from a number labeled Howard Holliday; 9405531243; 1:26pm, 1:51pm, 2:35pm, 3:12pm. I ask repeatedly that they take me off their calling list. I am not interested in any dealings with them. Calls continue.

      • Yet another call from Eastern Valley Financial 201-265-6296. Once again asked to be taken from the call list.

  • I have been ripped off by east valley financial of $995.00 Please help me, what to do?? How do I convince my credit card company that they ripped me off??

    • Rick Ahlgren

      • I received a call from these people today. At first they told me that the service was FREE and that an analyst would call me back to discuss the details. When the second guy called back, he said that the $995 fee would be absorbed on one of my credit cards as it would be paid off at the lower rate once the “savings” kicked in. When I pressed, he admitted that they charge it to your credit card up front. I have spoken with my credit card companies before and they told me very clearly that they do not work with these outfits, that if we need to come up with a reduced debt program, we should call them directly. When I asked the caller how they can gaurantee a 5% rate on all my cards, he got smart with me and told me that he could “wave his majic wand” and avoided the question. I asked him to send me a packet so that I could evaluate the program and he asked me for my credit card number. When I refused, saying that I do not give out my credit card number over the phone, he got smart with me again. I hung up. I believe all of the negative complaints on this site are absolutely TRUE and I think that those that are raving about how great they are must be either employees or owners.

        • I received a call today from East Valley Financial. A guy allegedly named “Chris Sane.” I asked him many questions (very leery with good right to be), and I could tell he was getting frustrated. He even told me that I have to trust my credit card company because they have credit purchase protection (okay that’s laughable and so suspicious). Always ask them A LOT of questions, it will trip them up somehow. I asked him how they could afford to pay with a $995 fee, all the employees that made those calls, called the credit card companies, and gave financial advisors to the “customer.” He then said, “Well, if you want, I could ask my supervisor if we could charge you more money if that would help you not to be so untrusting. I said, “Are you being sarcastic with me now?” I knew he was. I never had any interest to deal with them and was most certainly not going to give them my credit card, but I often play their game to find out information and then report it to the proper agency, and the one ripped off customer above is right – report it to the Attorney General. Hit them where it hurts the most. They are scamming people – no doubt.
I hope all of this helps save others (I am thankful I didn’t nor won’t do it). I was also offended that he said they purchase our information from the 3 credit bureaus. I plan to call one of them today as well. All people take this warning and hang up — run the other way fast!

  • 6/8 got a call from Kyle Davis at East Valley Financial 480-258-6601 about an amazing opportunity to at least half our interest rate on outstanding credit card debt etc. It all sounded good to ‘look at’ and was looking forward to receiving their package/paperwork in the mail, so that my husband and I could go over what they were offering and decide together. Then came the ‘kicker’, the up-front $995 fee to be put on a credit card. When I asked Kyle why would I just give him my credit card details, when I truly did not know who he or his company was. Long story short, he said that he could offer this opportunity for $399, if the $995 was going to take my credit card over the limit. More warning bells going off. He then suggested that I look up the BBBureau to see that they were legit, when I said that I could not at that moment, but call me back in 10 mins as my husband was using the computer, he got very rude and said, “well good luck trying to pay off your debt”, to which I just hung up on him and was very glad that I did not give him any information.

  • Hi to all you guys that got ripped off, too. E V F is the lowest of low…they coerced my 87 year old aunt who is obviously confused and not able to comprehend all this fancy jargon they threw at her, into agreeing to a $300 charge. This was a guy names “Chris”. Twice I called to talk to Chris and once I was told he was on the phone and once that he wasn’t in the office. I talked to Oliver who seemed to be a decent guy and that certainly he would have a supervisor return my call because he was not authorized to issue any refunds. The next day came no call from a supervisor. When I called to talk to a supervisor who turned out to be none other than Matthew Mullen, all I got was double talk in a condescending monotone about how he couldn’t figure out why I didn’t think this would help her and on and on. I asked him as a courtesy to refund her money because she didn’t understand what she was agreeing to IF she did,and all he did was manage to turn things around. Yes she MAY have agreed to it but she did not comprehend anything that was being said…I really would’ve loved to hear that whole conversation IF it was monitored. Their tactics are the lowest of low..Matthew Mullen would not even discuss a refund with me saying my aunt needed to call him and talk to him after me just telling hm over and over she didn’t understand any of this. Must be nice to make your living like the lowest form of life preying on elderly people like they do and common decent, hard working people. I hope and pray he gets what’s coming to him one of these days.

  • East Valley Financial has been calling me, but I have not answered the phone. Yesterday I did answer the phone and spoke with a young lady who asked me 4 questions regarding my credit card debt. She stated I \"qualified\" for credit card interest and debt relief. She said a representative would call me back in about an hour and to have my credit card bills ready to go over with the rep.

Clyde called in about 2 hours later and stated they would help me lower my interest rates and debt. I asked how they do this. He stated again how they would lower the interest and debt. I asked what the process was and he HUNG UP on me.

I probably won\’t get another call from them, but if I hadn\’t been so enlighted by this web site, I may have been taken advantage off as so many people already have.

  • Just got a call also asking the same 4 questions & told I qualified. I was very leery & suspicious. I will not be answering the next call because thankfully I was smart enough to research them and found this site. Thanks for the warnings and head’s up!!

  • I got two calls today from East Valley Financial with a 480 area code. The first was a lady and when she said she was calling about my VISA and Mastercard, I said I didn’t have one and she said OK and hung up. I looked the phone number up online but couldn’t find anything. Then later I got a call from a man at the same number. I played along this time to see what he wanted. I kept butting in and asking him where they were located, he said in Tempe,AZ. I asked the address and he said he didn’t know. I asked what my VISA and Mastercard account numbers that he was calling about were. He said he didn’t know. I told him that I thought he was a scammer because I don’t have any credit cards so could not possibly qualify for a lower interest rate and I just filed bankruptcy. He said he must have old information. I told him, yeah, years old. I asked why he called me when I told the lady earlier I did not have a credit card and he said she must have not put my number back in the computer system correctly. I told him I still thought it was a scam and asked that he put my number in correctly so I am not called again. BEWARE-they are just fishing for a sucker!!

  • Someone from East Valley Financial Called tonight saying that they would lower my interest rates. They needed a credit card for the fee or $995.00. I did not have that much on the card so they said that I can still get the same service for $495.00. I thought that there must be something wrong with that and told the man I was not interested. Well so did my credit card company who refused to let the charge go through. I was contacted by the bank to see if I authorized the charge. They said that they have had complaints about this company. Do not give your card information out. My card number was changed and a block has been put on my account for East Valley Financial!!

  • Thanks for the heads-up. I was already wary, but they won’t stop calling me!!!

  • East Valley Financial called me today, the first call caught me off guard, but was just four simple questions. Then Chris Sain/Sane called, proceeded with the push. First: My wife and I make financial decisions together, so even if he wanted me to just buy a coffee at Starbucks for him, I would have to discuss it with my wife. Second, I told him that, while I had about fifteen cards (not an exaggeration, but I don’t believe all fifteen are MC/Visa) that none, to my knowledge had even 100 bucks available on them. With that information, he stated that, while I really needed this kind of program, he couldn’t help me with that little available and ended the call. I highly doubt they’ll call again. It’s because of “rip-off” sites such as this and consumer watchdog email lists, that I can say I have been well warned about these scammers.

  • Already called the Indiana State Attorney generals office and reported this scam. Called me twice and said they would call again. Gonna tell them they have been reported and every time they call again, I’ll report them again. I have nothing but time on my hands to deal with them.

  • Just received call from Kyle Davis. Wanted me to take notes. He talked on & on. I said- end of day- I’m tired- visual learner- send written info- line went strangely silent!!!
    Thanks but NO THANKS!!!

East Valley Finance is really a fraud company. I too was cheated out of my money and have the same problems as several other about not getting the “PROMISED” money back. They are all the scum of the earth which is the nicest thing I can think of to call them.

BEWARE AND REPORT TO ALL AUTHORITY OFFICES PLEASE !!

  • I am writing in regards to East Valley Financial. in Mesa Arz.
I have made numerous attempts to call them at 855-775-6969 and via email at eastvalleyfinacial@msn.com and have gotten no response I signed up with Chris Sain and he gave me a number to contact him at which is not in service 866-208-9351. I am asking them to refund the $995.00 that I invested with them. I will take them to small claims court if possible.
