Matt Handris of Stonecastle homes is a moron
This guy is supposed to be a contractor and builder, but he doesn’t even know what a hammer is. He got into building because of his dad and brother. We worked together for a couple of jobs and everything went fine, execpt when he decided not to pay me until I did a job for him extremly cheap.
I told him to pay me for the job I finished 2 months earlier. He decided not to pay me. Told me I had to do the cheap job in order to get paid. So I filed a complaint with the ccb. Its probably going to take a year before I get my money.
Do NOT hire this guy, he works for Icon homes now. When I called him for payment he wouldn’t answer the phone.
The comments made by this person are untrue. Matt Handris has been in the construction business for almost 20 years, and his building experience has nothing to do with his father, or his brother. Having built over 100 homes, he has dealt with HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of sub-contractors and NEVER has come across someone as unprofessional as the person making this rediculous claim.
With the building industry coming to a hault, he had to lower himself to doing these rinky-dink remodel jobs and this is where he came in contact with this person. He doesn’t mention in his statement the 9000.00 in payment he did receive.
This is over a 600.00 balance that he claims Stone Castle owed him, until he started making threatening phone calls telling Matt to “watch his back, and I know where you and your family,ie. me, his wife and our 2 kids live.” We have these recordings saved.
He will no longer be getting any work from Matt, his brother, or any other reputable builder in this area. We will be filing a no contact order to keep this head case away from us.
So, you do admit he owes me money, but you snobs think you could do what ever you want. If you can’t afford to pay me stop going to your hawaii vacations and sell your hummer and your 4,000 sq house. Everything about matt is true even the other contractors talk about him and never want to work with him, he has to beg them to like a female dog to do other jobs. He is the most pathetic person I have ever met. 20 years of building and he asks me if I could wipe laquer on? That sounds very knowledgeable, the only way to apply laquer is to spray it, but if your not involved in building the house your taking money from you wouldn’t know that. And recording phone calls without the persons knowledge is a misdemeanor. Matt is a unknowledgeable contractor with a history of promblems with his houses, such as water leaks, lawsuits, and poor workmanship under his supervision or lack there of. Nikki you are not involved in his work you won’t know anything about building either. Thanks.
